Manual Transmission Problems?
I bought an '06 LX last summer, and after just under ten months of driving I've had two problems with the clutch and transmission. I've had to take my car to get the linkage adjusted twice, and it's currently in the shop again. So, now I'm stuck wiht my dad's Ridgeline (not bad considering I'm in college), but I'd like to have my car back.
The point being, have any of you noticed problems with the transmission? My car would stick from 2nd to 3rd, from 4th to 5th, and trying to get into reverse. |

Yea i get something weird on 2nd when i hit it hard sometimes. Seems like something might be loose and i end up letting the clutch out w/ the shifter all the way back and its not in gear enough so it grinds. Curse fwd manuals (i miss my T56
).Anyone know any linkage upgrades? |

"where could you get this synthetic stuff"
Here: AMSOIL My '06 EX coupe, MT, is fussy going from 2nd into 3rd gear, especially in colder weather--below 40 degrees (F). Many have posted here that switching to AMSOIL helps.

I had trouble just a couple days ago for the first time on my 07 coupe. At a stop sign I couldn't shift into 1st or 2nd. I had to go thru a couple intersections starting up in 3rd gear which wasn't too cool. Before very long though I was able to get back into first gear, and haven't had a problem since. I do wonder if it's just a matter of time before the problem returns.

1st and 2nd in my EX can be a little stiff when the car is cold, especially here in Ontario. I switched to Amsoil MTF and it shifts basically perfect now, with only a small amount of resistance in the first 2 gears, for the first 2-3 minutes when the outside temp is around 0.
My SI has always shifted great. With the Amsoil in it, even better. |

My Si's trans is totally screwed. It goes under the knife on monday to have basically everything on the mainshaft replaced.
