That will buff right out man!

jk, who knows it hard to tell from the pics what real damage has been done but looks like the upper rad cross member has been moved quite a bit and not to mention all the stuff under that hood that was moved, depends on how much shes worth then the adjuster will say yay or ney.......if your car isnt worth much then id say they will junk it

Im glad shes okay and thats really all that matters but id have to say that they might fix it, although the airbags went and those arent cheap, same with the bulkheads that were breached in the front there, and that LF fender damage, you might be looking for a new/used car soon. Thats not we can pull it out damage man thats cut it out weld new **** on it damage which can gat and usually is expensive

Glad to know you are ok.

I think is better for you and cheaper for the insurance to totaled.

If the body shops charges $5K or more to fix it depending on damage and the car value is let's say $8-10K the insurance rater selling it to a junk yard.

Besides, if they fix it it will lose resale value when you sell it, not many buyers want to buy a car involved in a big accident.

Let us know what happens and good luck.

Got into a wreck today. Brakes failed and the pedal wouldn't do anything. I pulled the ebrake and it slowed down a bit (I was coming in at 50mph) And hit the gut in front of me who hit the woman in front of him. Fortunately no injuries but the bumper looks like it's about to fall off, headlights were bent downwards, and the hood is bent. My first accident, ans it scared the he'll out of me. I don't know if there's any frame damage. Anyone know how much it would cost the insurance company to fix?

op's car seems totaled based off images and the fact that airbags were deployed. as for mynameisname, i think the frame should be fine, if anything it could be bent slightly.

CIVICS AREN'T MEANT TO BE BUMPER CARS!!! jk. but life > cars.

Didn't mean to thread jack but I wanted to get some more info through others without having to create a new thread. I'm glad op's wife was not injured and I hope his situation works out for the best. Mine was a similar situation so I thought I might post. Honestly, it scared the hell out of me when the brakes did not function. This is my first wreck and I'm just looking for anything that might help me. I love my civic as many of you on 8th do too and I'd like to keep it alive and well as long as possible. Thanks!

Update: noticed the fenders are damaged as well

For your sake, you'd better hope and pray that they total that thing out. You DO NOT want whats left after a hit that bad. You are looking at a car that once repaired will never be the same, body panels that don't match, diminished value, etc.

You should be on the phone with your agent right now telling them you don't want the car back.
