What other car's are in our "class"?

The R18 civic isn't a fast car, i know that, but in terms of speed and power match what other cars are in our "class"?

The only other car i can kinda think of off the top of my head is the 5th gen Nissan sentra 1.8L, but even the newer (same year) model's upgraded to 2.0L.

Am i to be convinced that base model hondas are left in the dust?

Base model corolla, 1.8L... at least for 09 it is.
