I drove a stick long long time ago...then my next "02 civic ex is an auto and my '07 civic is also an auto. However, being a civic fan, i got my first ticket when i pull my civic out of dealership. Second ticket a month shortly..then i feel that cops are just Honda haters. This is the reason i don't get a stick (SI). I have enough tickets from auto alone. Imagine me in an SI. Gosh..

I am OK since MT is not suitable in the Boston's stop and go traffic.

It's not a friggin race car, so why MUST I have gotten a manual shift? If someone could explain this to me, b/c now I feel sad inside
LOL why would anyone buy a pussymatic, you pretty much downgraded

Same, I'd rather cruise the town then drive on the highway for long periods of time.

I can't stand not shifting, I get too bored when I just sit there.

Buyin a new car in automatic, is like spending all this money, to buy urself a change of scenery. You dont feel how the car truly handles and performs. You arent driving the car, the car is driving you.

..Some people dont give a rat's ass about any of that stuff, and would be pleased with the new change of scenery, and more added electronic features, etc. They could care less about how the car performs, and what its 0-60 is.

Are either one of these people wrong? Nah, just different strokes, for different folks. Dont let anyone bring you down, do YOU homie.

Not true. I can make out huge difference between performance / handling of civic and corolla AT sedans, having driven both. The downshifting / holding of gear by the civic AT as well as the better / crisp high speed handling stands out by a mile.

To each their own. I got the AT with my new civic. My '91 prelude is MT.. I'll prolly regret getting a AT sooner or later.. but what gives... we're driving a civic for crying out loud... not your typical sportscar.. Therefore it doesn't matter, unless you bought your civic to experiment and squeeze performance out of it.. Then it prolly would have been best to get the MT. But who cares, at least they're 5speed now hehe.
