not sure what it's worth but a car with a salvage title is very hard to sell after it's been fixed. I do a lot of work for dealers and they always seem to lose money on cars with salvage titles....even when they think they bought them cheap.

Just my $.02

well i really think it depends on the salvage.. there is theft recovery as well as frame damage... frame damage it would be worth crap..but a theft recovery is a little different.. i would buy one if I could ensure that it was theft recovery and got it checked out bumper to bumper

Pics would probably help us, but if you're the same dude from HT, then I'd say part her out. The motor is worth at least $4200 by itself, depending on the mileage.

2 factors.

1. Damage.
2. Profitabilty.
Without seeing it or knowing anything more than just salvage SI, there is no way of knowing. If you gave me more info, I can tell you what it's worth.
They go real fast.

I'd say...."$2.50 and some jawbreakers", if I had to guess, or "$1.00 and some envelopes".

and very good hospitalization insurance!! cuz if you ever wreck it, depending on damage done to earn it that salvage title, you may end up in the hospital for a while

10 cents on the dollar. IMHO

sometimes a salvage title car will appear in the ads locally, and they are priced about 1/3 of what they would be worth if not salvaged.

we have a dealer here in Quincy that deals in salvage cars. They get them from all over, hail damage, flood, tornado, hurricane, theft, etc. I have not bought anything from them because even though they are salvaged cars, they are not discounting them that much, and you can not "launder" a salvage title like you could 25-30 yrs ago.
