Question for those complaining about poor gas mileage

How exactely are you driving? I've read all these threads and as an experiment i decided to pretty much floor it anytime i took off in order to see how bad of a dip i would see in mpg (i have an automatic). Results? I drive 60% city, 40% highway, and flooring it at every light and every acceleration i still managed to pull 28mpg. I usually average about 32-34 mpg, and i am just floored everytime i see someone complaining about only getting 21-24mpg... Are you using 4th and 5th gears? If so i really think something is wrong with your car if you are getting this poor of mileage and you should take it in...

Sorry for an additional post on this topic, i just wanted to post this little experiment i made... (BTW, 06 EX, automatic.)

07 EX Coupe AT

Well I wanted to test my mileage so I tried to take it very easy for an entrie tank, this was about a 40% Highway tank. I made sure I never floored it, never let it go passed 3000 RPMS, never went over 70 on the Highway and never put on the AC I got 22 MPG. I usually get about 18-19 (usually average about 40-50% Highway).

06 Si.

I drove like a grandmother for four fill-ups, and in city (barely city, not much stop and go, really), I got 17.

I figured that it was probably due to me needing to change my oil (I still had the break-in oil).
