Believe it or not on any car a splitter will decrease track times if it is designed properly... and that is more than reason to add one now whether or not it is worth that much money is the question....

It only creates a real benefit at speeds no Civic is capable of (unless it is extensively tuned).

All i'm saying is that putting a splitter on a Civic is no different than putting a huge wing on a civic. Both serve no function, so by definition, they are rice.

i go for looks i didnt buy a civic cuz i wanted a race car bought it for its MPG and gorgeous body style .if a wanted to get nice track times i woulda bought a 350z or nsx rwd ftw. js racing lip is so not rice its just a decorative accessory like ur jdm engine cover on a "usdm only car".u must think hfp kit is rice too cuz thats not gunna give u down force niether

Rice=Race Inspired Cosmetic Enhancement

Putting race inspired or race car style parts on a car purely for cosmetic enhancement is by definition, rice. They are meant to make a slow car appear fast.

Huge aluminum or carbon wings are race or race car inspired. A huge aluminum or carbon wing on a Civic is considered rice, no?

Splitters are race inspired. So the same logic would apply for splitters as would for wings, no?

The HFP kit is not race inspired, it is merely a factory appearance kit. So putting an appearance kit on your car for cosmetic enhancement is not rice.
