here's my 4-bang

After I painted the rims...

A couple more pictures that I just found of the rims, they look different in different lights, kind of like the GG paint.

Future mods: (hopefully) Short Ram intake, Magnaflow exhaust, Si front and rear sway bars, and maybe a few other things

woot for EX's!!

Thanks

It definately satisfied my urge to go spend $1200 on rims. And it only cost about $15.

2006 Royal Blue EX coupe. Painted calipers red, and changed rear turn signals to clear bulbs. I plan for some tinting, 20%, and later on Mazda 3 rims.

This was the first day i got it.

i wish i took better care of the paint, i have swirl marks on every square inch.

it took me around 3 hours because I took off each individual rim, painted it, let it dry, then put it back on.

I didn't mind though because I was also painting my calipers black at the same time.

I also thought about powdercoating but decided not too for a variety of reasons: don't have the time, more expensive then paint, and if I get some curb rash or something it's very easy to touch up.

what paint did u use for the black calipers, and can u post pics please?

yeah by machine, talk to someone that knows more about it though, and get the right compound, id suggest going to a local detail or paint shop they will have the tools to do it and prob wouldnt charge much

I picked up the dupli-color kit at autozone for $15.

It seems to be a pretty good little kit for the price.

Here are some pictures I took about 5 minutes ago: (and a couple more because what can I say, I'm a photo-whore)

(I still have to color match the new center caps)

Nice car

I thought about doing a trunk swap, but I don't think I want my car to be confused with the Si. Looks really good though
