Great Vid! He has to have an LX sedan, because the 06-08 LX Coupes do have the welcome screen.

Well, those must be people with LX sedans, because i have an '06 LX Coupe, and i use my welcome screen all the time, so i don't know how much clearer i can make it.

thanks for not bickering.

and thanks to the member that used the report bad post button rather than participating in the public flame war.

Please don't feed the monster by even replying to that crap.

How to deal with a troublesome member / offensive posts / site rule violation

Keep it on topic. Warnings have previously been issued for racist and ignorant comments, and further action will be taken to those that can't show basic decency towards one another.

If someone has made an inappropriate comment, PLEASE ALERT US!!! All you need to do is click on the Report Bad Post button beside the post and it sends an e-mail to us to take a look. Another alternative is to send a Private Message to a staff member regarding the situation.

If you try to argue with them and participate in a public fued, you might be on the receiving end of a warning (or worse) rather than being thanked and recognized for your help in diffusing the situation.

Just to clear it up, My LX coupe does have a welcome message. I guess LX sedans don't though.
End o argument.

Back on topic, I'll probably get flamed for this but... Why an EX and not an Si? The price difference is not that much, especially if you add leather or a navi. Is it the gas mileage or the auto trans?

Oh, I had a few good personal reasons.....

1. I hate manual in town/traffic, auto or nothing for me.
2. Paying for premium sucks, period
3. Don't give a crap about high performance
4. Less gas mileage
5. No heated leather for Si
6. Hate Si's red gauges, prefer blue
7. Lower body stance and thinner tires. Not good for Montana roads

Need I say more? Are you seriously done pissing in our thread or do I have to get moderator action again?

It's an 06. Yeah the LX coupe gets 6 speakers and the EX coupe gets 7 while all (non Si) sedans get 4 speakers, that probably has something to do with the welcome message.

when i turned 16 i was driving a 1995 nissan maxima, and one day my mom said she had a surprise for me...

i said what is it?

she said, come to the dublin honda dealership, what color do you want?

!!!! i said, BLUE!

by the time i got there, her and the sales guy were standing outside with the motor running.

i grabbed by CD's and put them in my new car and said,

WOOOHOOOOWHOOOWHOOOHWOHOWHOHWOHWHOW!!!

The last thing on my mind was...."Where's the Si?"

Yeah I felt the same way, I was perfectly satisfied with my LX until I joined this forum.

My car was also a gift from the parents. No complaints.

People need to remember that most r18 buyers don't care about performance. Its common logic. So any flaming needs to stop. There is no argument. All R18 owners know they are slower than Si's, but they also know they pay less for the car, gas, and insurance. Its just give/take and thats why Honda gave us options.

The interest rate on the Si was horrible over here and i got a great deal on the ex sedan because me and my brother got one. Even if the Si had a lower interest rate, I'm not sure i would have gone for it because of the gas and insurance and what not... I'm still incredibly pleased with the R18, great fuel economy and its still a fun car to drive when it has the manual tranny...

In my opinion, the EX is the better DD.

a few reasons: my loan was for 17 grand from the bank (my pops cosigned)
i only had a grand for a down payment (my parents paid the tax, tags, titles, fees as a birthday present)
insurance was more with an si
the wait for an ex was a month (ordered mine as soon as they hit show room floors in 05)... the si was 3-5 months
im glad i dont need to use premium with gas prices these days (but i still do unless im completely broke, only the best for my baby)
