you should shift faster tho, seems like the revs are dropping a couple of thousand RPMs everytime you shift. did u chirp 2nd? kewl i wonder if R18s can chirp 3rd too...

i would shift within 500rpm of the redline and be in gear right away (re-engage within 2000rpm of the redline)... but this is for my Si. and yes, wait for your car to warm up before winding it up like that.

it didnt sound like he chirped second, its hard to do in the r18s. Iv been trying at every light for about 2 weeks now, and I got it once, at about 7k, right before the fuel cut off.

yeah - it seems the time between shifts is slow - you need to get on the gas immediately - keeping the revs up.

Cold air = Dense air = better air for performance. If you are at normal operating tempreture then it is better to have cold air for performance.

I can chirp second really easily on my R18 sedan. As long as I shift fast enough, it'll chirp.

As people have suggested, work on your shifting or consider the short shifter.

tell me your secret Yodums. I get scared whenever I shift fast because Iv grinded once or twice shifting as fast as I could. I supposedly have the reflash, but I really dont. and I take the rpms to 6.8K to 7K.
