Tinted Coupe

Does anyone have pics of a coupe with 35% tinting all around (except for front)?

I'm considering having this done on my 06GG-EX and have seen pics of darker and different levels from window to window but many seem to prefer darker.

A local shop tried to sell me on Infinity at 35% with reflective properties. It looked fine on his car (old Volvo) but I'm wondering if it the look would seem a little too 80's-ish kind of like mirrored sunglasses.

I'm thinking that anything containing metallic I should stay away from.

How does window tinting affect resale/trade-in value?

thx,

Monty

35% is pretty light, but if you don't like it dark, thats ideal.

i have 17% on my back 3 and its perfect, i can see perfect at night, and in the daytime is even better. both ways, i never get blinded by high beams or truckers.

the mirrored stuff, i'm thinking wouldnt look too great. especially on the NBP and GG... darker colors tend to look better with darker or solid shaded tint.

resale value... not too sure. my only guess would be that it could effect the buyers decision - the buyer doesn't like that its too dark cause he/she is old and with bad vision and legality issues. on the other hand, the buyer doesn't like that its only 35% and it would be a pain to take it somewhere to take it off and make it darker. and lastly, it would be perfect to someone and all in all they would buy it. this is all assuming that they love your car and tinting is one of their main concerns.

so resale value... no idea, i'm thinking it wont do much.

...i guess this is what a psyc major does to you. haha

but good luck in your decision.

I have 35% llumar tint on mine, and it's not too dark. My roommate got 20% put on his Si, and he has NEVER driven with tint before and he said it's fine.

I think you'll be fine... just let your eyes adjust and your first night out take it slow. The tint we used is metallic, which means it doesnt scratch as easily, and it doesnt kill cell phone reception or GPS signal. When I say metallic, I don't mean it's shiny on the outside, either.

35% Carbon color tint for me all around. For me, any darker is rice on a Civic and would attract the po-po. Also, keep in mind that even with my 35% nightime visibility is not great.

Depending on the lighting around you, 35% can look pretty dark. Mine looks nearly black at night.

Very Nice

That looks pretty darn good. Thanks guys. I'll probably go with the 35 all around, it looks just about right for me.
