Anti-Theft code
I have my code from the dealership, but I have no clue how to put it into the radio. The manual doesn't really explain at all how to type it in. Every time I try and change the text, it just writes "code." Anyone care to explain?

The anti-theft code is only there to let you activate the CD player after your ECU (I think!) gets reset i.e. battery gets disconnected. It isn't necessary to have it on a day to day basis.
What will happen is when you press the power button, it'll tell you to input the code. If you enter the first digit correct, "C" comes on. Second digit will make "O," third "D," fourth "E," and finally, when you input the 5th correct digit, it will open up the FM function. If all you're seeing is "CODE," then perhaps you're not inputting the fifth digit? I hope I answered your question correctly. If not, just let me know.

Ok try this.
Disconnect your battery. Plug the battery back in. Now go in the car and start it up. Try to turn on your radio. Once you start it up press the code into the radio. Even though it does not ask for it. Once you put in all the codes...Your radio should turn on. |
