Exclamation Clutch Pedal Noise

Hi Guys and Gals! I was curious if any of you have experienced the clutch pedal "squeak". I only notice it in low gears (1 and 2) and it also feels a little funny. I only feel it as I'm letting out the clutch. Pushing in I don't feel anything. Also I don't hear it or feel it if it's not in a gear. I don't know if it means my clutch is getting ready to go or if the pedal just needs some lube. Let me know your thoughts before I call up my dealer.

actually i have had this too, but not from the clutch pedal, from the gas, i think it may just be a rubbing squeek...? let me know what you find out

I've had it where I thought it was my shoe making a weird noise on it. But, then it did it without shoes on. No clue what it is but it does it from time to time. Kind of like an airey squeaky noise if that makes sense

i have the same problem! it usually only happens when it's raining or really humid out and when i'm letting the clutch out. mostly in the lower gears. at first i thought it was my shoe being wet and rubbing against the petal but it happened when my shoe wasn't even wet. i've heard multiple reasons...and i about 4k on my car so it's still farely new.

i guess i'll have the dealer look at it when i get my first oil change

I remember when I first test drove mine with 100 miles on it and the clutch pedal went in smooth with no effort...and my shifting was smooth like butter...
Now my clutch pedal requires more force to press in...and my shiftings not smooth like it used to...is this just what happens when you break in a new car?

my clutch pedal did that also. Just spray the clutch master cylinder down by floor with a little lubricant and it will go away

my 07 clutch pedal squeaks and creaks, but my car is a real lemon anyway so it's got more then that wrong with it.

bad wheel bearings maybe? A/C exploded.... Hondas aren't worried about quality anymore, we are hooked so they are going americanized making shit in canada shooting for quantity.

greed > humans.

For the clutch or for when you need to replace something for warranty. For warranty repairs they recommend you bring a vat of KY Jelly.

***READ THIS IF YOU HAVE A "CLUTCH SQUEAK"***

its probably not your clutch guys, its prly the hanger that is right around your catalytic converter...get under your car and move your exhaust piping around and youll hear the hanger rubbing on the rubber hanger(itll creak, squeak and even chirp)...there was a post on this somewhere (in this forum section too)...though this might not have to do with the OP's post it may help a few of u out...it happens when your in first or second at low rpm's and u let off the gas and usually push in the clutch (even if u dont push in the clutch it can happen) anyways when u let off the gas it causes the engine to shift its place in the bay causing everything attached to it to move slightly..therefore when it moves the hangers are moving slightly and the cat. hanger to turn inside the rubber which allows the noise (the hanger right by the cat.)

anyways this can be more notable and heard when the windows are down and u have to ride the clutch out of a parking lot (i have to at my school sometimes) im in first let off the gas push the clutch in and the exhaust setup shifts in the hanger and creaks/squeaks/chirps a little...

another thing is, it most notably does it when it is cold outside...or when the car is cold...till it fully warms up it does it...i have noticed this after many tests trying to fix this problem...

solutions...? some silicone lube on the hanger will help if this is the problem your encountering...chances are its NOT your clutch, u just think it has to do with it...the clutch would sound alot louder, harsher and u would sort of "feel it" if it was a clutch squeak.

to see if this above ^^^ is your problem sit on a sort of slanted driveway/road or whatever, even a flat one will work, put the car in first and try to take off with the clutch, when the car idles down when it catches the engine will jump up, once this happen throw the clutch back out so u dont fully take off, ull hear the squeak under the car...basically "rock" your car back and fourth in 1st with only the clutch, no gas...

::::::EDIT:::::::

***HEAR IS A LINK TO THE ORIGINAL POST ABOUT THIS ISSUE***

take a look please it may help u out, he describes it a little bit more organized then i did, and has a video showing the problem =)

thanks lobos8403 for documenting this problem!

I'm having the same problem and was just about to write a new thread on it, anyone find out a real fix? What kind of lubricant do you put on it to stop the noise, I'm pretty sure its not the exhaust cause it only happens when I step on the clutch and let it out.
