A year of ownership

September 26 will mark a year of Civic sedan ownership. I bought my Japanese built atomic blue Civic LX for $17,500 (not including taxes etc.) and to date I have driven 10,600 miles. I am very pleased with the Civic despite some minor mechanical and personal issues with the car. The only mechanical issues that I have encountered have been the accelerator pedal recall in December and defective weather striping on the passenger side front door. What I don't like about the car are the uncomfortable seats (on drives lasting more than two hours), the thin sheet metal (which dents very easily) and the very low front end (I have experienced curb rash on numerous occasions). To date, the car has averaged 33.4 mpg in mixed driving - with 44 mpg being the best it has managed (it has the automatic transmission). Looking back on the last year of ownership I would recommend the Civic to anyone, without reservation. I hope other owners are experiencing the same driving pleasure as me.

Yeah. The seats suck. Gives me a crick in my neck...always tilting my head forward. Other than the lack of power (heh heh) and worse mileage than my 05 sedan, I like my LX coupe.
