The auto locking/unlocking works perfectly on my Canadian 06 EX Sedan 5MT.
I programmed it just like the manuel said. No problems. That was 4 months ago. I do wish the passenger door would unlock when you turn the engine off, not just the driver side door. |

I have an 06 Si. I just followed the directions in the quick ref and it worked. You have to seperately set the lock feature and the unlock. As far as I know the unlock does both doors. It took me one or two tries to get it but it can be done. Just spend a few minutes with it.

Has anyone figured out how to get the sedans to unlock all doors when shifted to into park? It is a minor irritation but coming from a BMW that only automatically locked I am used to manually unlocking the doors. The one thing that really bothers me is there is no 'panic' unlocking built into the door handles. On a BMW you pull twice on the handle and the door unlocks. thanks...

Okay everyone. There are no published instructions on how unlock all the doors by using the shift lever. Honda has only published instructions on how to unlock only the driver's door by using the shift lever.
Only a very few people (one for sure, maybe two) have reported that they are able to open all doors without the use of aftermarket products, but haven't given a reason as how they are able to do so. What they say may be true, but they might have some wiring fluke that allows them to do so. If you want all your doors to automatically unlock, the only way is to get an aftermarket system (alarm or otherwise) that allows you to do so. Please, do not ask how to automatically unlock all passenger doors by using the shift lever because there are no published instructions for it. |
