The very slow build of my Sexy6Speed

So, its been one year ago today that i picked up this Fiji Blue goodness from Jay Honda in Bedford,OH. Originally, i didnt think id have the money to mod this car a whole lot, and the addiction to do it just keep eating at me. So, heres the slow evolution of how its coming along so far. Funny this is, I had to drop the car off today to get the third gear fixed. So, after one year, that has been my only issue.

Sold my 2002 Civic Ex :
I Loved this car, it got me a 2nd place trophy at NOPI in Norwalk in 2006 in the NOPI CHIC category. the only thing was, it was automatic so it became very boring to drive, and i needed a fresh new project

for this:

2007 Honda Civic Si Fiji Blue Pearl
Mod List

Exterior:
HFP kit
6000K HID's
window tint 50%/30%
tail light tint (coming soon)
Interior:
Mugen Si shift knob
08 Si shift boot
Strutking dead pedal
"civic si" decal
Performance::
AEM CAI
Comptech exhaust
Comptech header (coming soon)
Comptech short shifter
Corsport bushings
Blue VC
PW:JDM CF manifold
PW:JDM CF spark plug cover
Mugen black oil cap
Wheel/Suspension:
Comptech springs
SPC camber kit
Megan Racing Rear lower tie bar
Mugen GP's (being installed friday 5/17)
Mugen Heptagon locking lugs
Yokohama S-drive tires (being installed friday 5/17)
Future mods
Mugen License plate bolts
Fogs
Retros
Comptech icebox (if it gets released)
coilovers

Almost everything was purchased through Jay Honda's Accessory Superstore check them out!!!!

First day at the dealer :

When i brought it home:

5/21/2007: I added the AEM CAI

10/4/2007: Then it took me about 6 months to do add the HFP Front Lip

Then i meet DanDB64, through 8thcivic....

He buys the GReddy Ti-C and gives me his custom axel back, dubbed the Dangus 1.0.....

The car goes away into storage for the winter:

Over winter i picked up some goodies:

11/25/07: While sitting in my garage i added a few things: Comptech SS, 08 shift boot, Mugen Si Shift knob, and Corsport Shifter cable bushings, and ofcourse bluerocket's civic si decal.......

2008 rolls around and its still snowing, on 3/8/2008, added FD2 Dipstick, Powdercoated blue Valve cover (compliments of dandb64), CF manifold cover, CF spark plug cover, and ofcourse a black Mugen oil cap

3/29/2008: add HFP rear lip and 6000k HID's.....

Night shot with Ohiocivicracer and DanDB64, im the fogless one...

4/19/2008: I got a call from Bill at Jay Honda telling me that my Comptech/CT-Engineering Catback Exhaust had finally arrived....

4/20/2008: Install Megan lower tie bar, Comptech Lowering Springs, and SPC camber arms...

4/24/2008: Added HFP sides and finally complete the kit...

5/2/2008: Windows get tinted 50% driver/passenger and 30% around...

^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^
This is how it sits right now, at the dealership. Washed with Wizards car wash and detailed with Wizards Mist-n-Shine. When i get the car back i will claybar it fully, and apply some Wizards Shine Master.

Still to be put on:

With Yokohama S-drives and Mugen Heptagon Locking lugs. I didnt want to mount them and take it to the dealership. i guess thats just me being anal, if something happened to them i dunno what i'd do. . Expect to see pics in a week or so with the GP's.

also awaiting..

Comptech header

the bushings dont shorten throw. have u talked to bill about the price of the mugen knob? the CTR knob is nice, but i like how the mugen matches the interior more. thats just my opinion

Bushings just firm up the shift feel, and initially make getting the car into reverse a pain in the ass. Must be the knob

Glad I can play a small part in the transformation. I have to compliment Lyss for doing things the right way. I see it to many times where young people are so excited to mod their cars that they either rush it or purchase cheap items. She takes her time and saves up for the good stuff. She has a game plan and a vision in her head - and sticks to it in a methodical fashion. The results speak for themself. She does things once and does them right.

Congrats on a job well done.
