duk's wicked HCHII

OK, so this is the build thread for my 07 TW HCHII.
Honestly I have no performance mods and never will, the car is all about aesthetics, as I love sexy lookin' cars, and love my car.
I bought her in Oct 07.

Mods are as follows:

Body:
-Custom painted and cut FA5 grill
-Full HFP lip kit
-Custom fit Mugen replica spoiler
-Altezza tail lights
-Chrome exhaust finisher
-Tint 20% back and 35% front
-Custom white painted and mounted hybrid emblem
-Custom smoke painted rear badge
-JDM Front Badge with Grafixpressions black & white overlay.
-White LED license plate lights

Wheels:
-Enkei JS-M Matte Grey 17" wheels
-BFG G-Force Sport rubber

Interior:
-Black & CF grafixpressions steering wheel emblem
-Blue dome light.
-Map lights carved out and replaced with one white 25 LED light.
-6 Blue Cathodes - under front seats and in foot rests.
-2 Red Cathodes - in trunk illuminating audio equip

ICE
-MTX 10" sub, with MTX TC4002 amp, and re-Q
-Mounted iPod touch as an interface

On to the photos:

This is the first picture I took. I know, the car is very dirty. This is when I had a VIS CF trunk and hood. The fitment was very poor so I returned them both. Hopefully I will be getting a Seibon CF hood this summer from a local 8thCivic member.

These pictures are taken from the first 8thCivic Calgary meet. Hoanger and Element63 were the photographers, I can never give them enough props for these pics. These were taken before the new spoiler was put on. Feb 08.

And these are some pictures I took after the spoiler was painted and mounted. It is a Mugen replica spoiler I bought from our vendor BattleEndless. I had my local shop (Screamin Paintworks) fill in the areas for the Mugen emblem, and trim down the OEM lip spoiler to fit this properly. Mar 08.

And finally here are some pictures of my Enkei's. April 08.

The interior lighting was installed by a forum Member, Swank. He has an awesome car, fully lit up with great lights. So he helped me with interior ambiance lighting. May 08.

And the trunk, July 08

Here are some photos taken with the custom cut and painted Si grill, JDM badge, and B&W emblem overlay. June 08.

The Enkei's caused a slight drop im mileage despite them being lighter than the stock HCH wheels. I now am averaging about 38-40 mpg, but in the winter i was only getting about 35. The cold weather has a drastic effect on the electric components of the car, so it doesn't really function fully as a hybrid in the winter (which is 7 months of the year here). And so i don't recommend hybrids to anyone living in a place with bad winters.
Anyway if you like what you see be sure to check back once in a while as I will update this thread with pics as I get them. Also i will use this opportunity as a plug for my business. I own a graphic design company called Nonko Design. Hit me up if you need graphics or a website! Or just check out the site if you like cool, fun flash sites. We're also working on a video game, should be out very soon!

Thanks for looking!

PS. Big thanks to some of the photographers: Jason (hoanger), Corey (element63), and my good friend Misha Frolov.

As it says in the write up i have some Enkei JS-M 17"s to go on when the weather turns. They are only 15lbs a piece as opposed to the HCH wheels, which are 17lbs a piece. So hopefully they don't affect my mileage negatively.

And i am aware i will get slack for the tail lights, but unless someone can direct me to some sexy LED tail lights, these will stay. I have only seen one set of LED tail lights for the sedan, and they don't cut it for me unfortunately.

Thanks for the comments guys, MUCH APPRECIATED!

I really like those rims on the sedan. Have you taken a hit to your MPGs?

I love what you've done to it! :)

One quick question: is that tiny white area on the driver's-side of the grill the remnants of where the Si badging was?

Now it's back to the drawing board for me! I'm looking to get a Civic hybrid within the next couple months, but most of the mods you've done are ones I wouldn't mind doing - except I live close, hehe. I don't want to come across as a look-alike. :)

Awesome work!
