Part 2...

Thought I would finish off the build before the car gets sold next year...hope this thread stays clean...

youtube channel: dfw1111

Old set ups:

EP3-HFP wheels 17x7 +45 215/40/17

Enkei RPF1 17x9 +35 225/45/17 BFG G-Force Sports

Painted Championship White and Falken 912 215/45/17

Enkei RPF1 17x9 +35 Dunlop Star Specs 235/40/17

Work VS-XX (3" lips, RockStar White faces with gold flakes, Gold Work hardware) 18x9 +22 Nankang 225/35/18

Before the boo boo:

(After fresh detail by me)

Lady decides to reverse into me at the Post Office:

Her damage:

Where I left off:

JRSC, 3.0" pulley, E85, DW1300 injectors, Q300, PLM header, 3.5" intake, and of course Vit tuned.

First tank

Got my check and started to order parts:

And my luck continues....This doesn't look like a 2009+ Civic front bumper...

They sent me 2010+ Honda Accord bumper

Scrapped the whole idea and just kept the 07 front, easier to sell when time comes anyways...

MercRacing Stage 2 Aftercooler FINALLY shows up after 6 months:

It's FOR SALE btw http://www.8thcivic.com/forums/force...ooler-kit.html

Lame meet, just took pics of our cars

Decided to try the retrofit myself:

Aligning the projector...

Waiting...

Done.

New pair of 235/40 Star Specs:

No bueno

Getting the front end painted and doors blended:

Back from paint:

Whole front end preped/painted, and doors blended. Everything came out PERFECT. Paint matches 99.99% dead on. He even fixed the scuffs/scratches on the bottom of my lip and put bolts on the bottom of the bumper instead of my zip ties lol. Steve's Automotive Refinish FTW!

I painted breather tank wrinkle black:

Before:

Prepped:

Done:

Destroyed 2nd gear, cracked the LSD in 2 spots, and damaged a few other parts: #****inproblems
Huge thanks to snizzletoff for practically walking me through everything and k20z3allmotor for the help in diagnosing the damage and offering me a amazing deal for repair (and the very detailed DIY http://www.8thcivic.com/forums/trans...tear-down.html

subframe and tranny out:

dented up speed sensor:

case off:

tranny magnetic:

most of the teeth off the damaged gears collected:

yup:

2009 Si replacement:
safety first

final drive was damaged and countershaft had a tiny knick on the new tranny. swapped some parts

pressing the gears off the countershaft:

reassembled:

she's in!

everything feels guuud

magnetic tranny and oil drain plugs

Detail time

I resprayed my valve cover...with dark grey primer this time. It's actually red now lol...thanks for the advice mucter I also resprayed the dip stick

before: wrinkle pink

after:

Import Alliance:

Vibrant 10108G donut gasket. Hopefully stops the leak...

Badass shot thanks to my buddy Birgey

New wheel color

wet sand/buff center caps

before:

after:

Perfect. It was simple aligning them. I just loosen the lock ring and turned the projector to where I needed to make my adjustments before sealing it up.

Your car looks sick man. What are your wheel specs and suspension set up. I have a set of 17x8.5 +22 on tein s techs. I want to do the same tire and size but I don't want to rub. And also not interested in doing any fender work either.

17x9 +30 on buddy club n+. Im sure its possible without fender work but you're goin to have to run a ton of negative camber.

Glad to see a new build thread!

I see that it looks like you replaced all of the damaged parts yourself, did you not claim the accident? (i can understand if you don't wanna get into this discussion)
