yeah i freaked out haha, I asked lots of people about it, everyone said the same thing..."casting marks" I have never had any leaks or anything

The gears that didn't break should be okay, the mainshaft is iffy a lot of people say they are done for when a gear breaks because they are stressed or bend. Countershaft is kinda useless without the ring gear. The LSD should be good. and i am sure you could sell it to someone with an LSD'less k series. As long as the other gears don't whine you could probably sell them, and the trans case as well.

Id certainly sell it as it and be upfront that a gear broke in the trans. might be able to get a bit of money for people looking for 3-4 as they commonly break.

The lsd cracked in two spots, well one doesn't look too bad, but the other spot i can pull a piece off of it haha

damn that sucks ass, i was gonna say id be a bit hesitant to use it because of the ring gear breaking and it probably caused a lot of strain, sucks it actually cracked though. That out of everything would have been the most money. Sounds like the case and if a daring person wants cheap gears you can make a few bucks

I have actually never heard of an LSD cracking

if you don't mind. I am guessing a piece of your second gear got wedged under the ring gear to cause such failure.

Yeah I think I remember seeing $800 from Honda. I was going to take off the ring gear bolts, but I don't have a impact lol.

I would offer my lsd from my first transmission. But I would hate for you to put it in and as luck would have it; it failed for whatever reason

damn that is some carnage....this is a solid example of why getting a used trans is usually better than rebuilding.

since i have to replace the ring gear, and most likely the counter shaft, should change my final drive? it's about the same price either way.
