550whp or bust! Take two on the SI

Hello all! I have been on this site for well over a year and never made a build thread. I got bored so i'm starting one for my second build up of this car!!!

I apologize in advanced, i don't take many pictures of my car, i will take more this time around!

The day i bought the car in march 2011:

I'm the skinny dude in the pictures
When i got this car the only thing i wanted was to get the HFP lip and fog lights
I thought this car was plenty fast when i got it!
I finally caught the modding bug and bought the Corsport short shifter and cable bushings and a new knob and red stitch shift boot

Sorry for the bad picture
This is where the modding took off
Bought at CNT catted race header, injen intake, and flashpro

Next was a HFP suspension

And I cleared my headlights

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Wasn't long before i was bored and wanted more power...
I sold my second car 2004 eclipse gs, i kept it because it was hit while parked, i got screwed on insurance and decided to fix it myself...in the mean time i bought a new car.
Used it to buy a JRSC setup!
JRSC - bought from another member
CNT header
Injen CAI
Hondata flashpro
Em1 CMC
Merc racing aftercooler
3in pulley
Hondata 4bar map sensor
RC650 cc injectors
Full race exhuast
Tuned by Evans tuning

Also installed Em1 CMC and had a horrible time bleeding it!

And had to get an exhaust! thought id get the "quietest one"

Full race beside stock pipe

Merc racing remote fill

Merc racing aftercooler

Kit installed:

Guages:

OH yeah! I finally got fog lights! But still no lip like I originally wanted

************************************************** ***********************************
I never got that setup dyno'ed
I only had it for 3 months before a deal presented itself!
Straight trade for my JRSC, aftercooler, header, and exhuast to get a jo-tech turbo kit
Full turbo build specs:
Jo-tech turbo kit
Pt 62/62 turbo with a .68 ar
2.5in charge piping w/intercooler rated at 650
Go power 1k injectors
Hondata flashpro
4bar map sensor
DW300lph fuel pump
Tial wastegate
Tial BOV
Em1 cmc
Competition state 4 clutch
3in downpipe
Q300 exhaust
HFP suspension w/ sportline springs
Buddy club camber arms
Ingualls front camber bushings
Dyno:

Some pics of the kit!

10an Oilpan bung welded on!

Turbo mounted for the first time

Oil drain on

Because I had to trade my full race exhaust, I had a crappy skunk 2 for a month!

Only took one month to replace this ridiculous piece of garbage!

Got a q300!!!

Unfortunately my turbo’s oil seal blew, I had to take the whole sub frame down again and replace it
O well I rebuilt the turbo myself! I like to learn new things

FMIC:

Everthing was going great until my tires started to spin while tuning! So I bought hancook v12s
The day I installed them I went for a nice ride, and slipped my clutch because the tires gripped better! I knew it was a matter of time on the stock clutch!
Dropped the subframe sorry for the bad picture!:

Transmission off, to the left is the stock clutch!

Engine without the tranny and a good turbo shot!

I ended up installing a Competition stage 4 clutch!
I finally did some cosmetics to my car, got springs, projectors, and the HFP lip
.

I also installed a pioneer navi!

How my car looked

On the dyno:

Didn’t have this set up before I got bored again and decided I wanted to part with the car and start something new!!!
I posted everything for sale!

WHELP! After talking with some people around me and on 8thcivic I decided against it, unfortunately I sold a lot of parts…but I still had most of them!
I will reserve the next post for my next big power build!

Why would you not use the SRT Dual pump hanger? Any major downfalls you don't like about it or will you just be able to reach you goal without it?

The srt cage is amazing its really high quality, I just don't want to have to run two fuel pumps! If I ran e85 maybe I would but I want to use 93 and get to 550 ish hp. I think I can make it with my dw300lph and 1k injectors.

I would just recommend a basic old fuel return system for your power goals bro. I've had it with the returnless system. Don't spend any crazy money on cages or duel pumps and stuff. Just do an external FPR with fuel return line and you will be good for your power goals.

That's why I said I don't want to use it, I don't need it. It was included in a very fair deal I got on the cage, 2 pumps, all the stainless lines to the fuel rail, all fittings and adapters, an srt fuel rail, and fuel pressure regulator for 500. I planned on selling the srt cage if I can with the walbros to make back some money

Yea man you don't need twin pumps with a fuel return for 500hp. An HP pump with a rising rate FPR and ID 1ks and you're golden. A fuel return is my next mission. I've had it with the long warm starts and running 99% duty cycle at only 15psi. lol...

Yea man $500 for an entire fuel return system WITH the SRT dual hanger cage is a sick deal.

aren't ppg's more than albines? I know shipping on albines sucks because they are from Australia but i still think it ends up to be a bit less.
