Clipsejr K24 Build on a Budget
So I've been lurking around on here for a bit since I first thought about buying an 8th Gen. I ended up buying a TW FG in Dec last year. Santa dropped me off 2 bundles of joy which prompt me to let go of my Eg. The second gift being my 1st baby girl, well first child period so can't be upset about those kind of priorities.
Anywho here are a few pics of my last and new project: Picking her up from Tucson how I purchased ![]() Decided to spray the full car in pearl blue ![]() ![]() Had this in her but decided I'd do a heart transplant ![]() With this K24A1 Which ended up getting a TSX K24A2 Head later![]() Out ![]() IN ![]() Decided I didn't like the red anymore so did this along with changing the IM(RRC), head(K24A2) and routing of a few things. ![]() ![]() Then long story short daughter was born and wifey needed a new car so let go of it. ![]() On to the the Fg and in the garage for the first time![]() ![]() ![]() And bye bye Pin Stripe/Pretty much how she looks today ![]() When I sold the Eg I took the k24 out as I figured it would fit nicely with the heavier SI the heart will live on in my Fg, built better and stronger! So the RRC made it's way onto the z3. Along with flash pro, J35 TB, and Aem/custom Cai intake system.Changing the Tbs: J35 on the left with IMT fitting for vacuum. ![]() J35 Pac-maning the Oem Si one. ![]() Flash Pro: Uploaded the Aem cold air Kal for now ![]() Then, got some toys in the mail. Retro Solutions LLC Digital 55w HID Kit ![]() Also bought Mini H1 projectors and relay harness from TRS ![]() Went to work ![]() Dinners In The Oven! ![]() Painted the reflector with a Hi temp Blk ![]() Projector in ![]() Mounted back on the car and testing ![]() ![]() Cut off/Will be cracking open the driver side again to fix that ![]() ![]() Finished product ![]() ![]() Last part I got in the mail: Supertech 87.5 Bore 12.5:1 Comp Pistons ![]() ![]() This post is kinda long and I'm at work not workin so will update with a few more pics tonight |

Decided to install my Rdx injectors and paint my intake tube to blend a bit better.
![]() De-pinning the injector clips ![]() And all installed on the fuel rail ![]() Clips in place and all installed back on the manifold ![]() Then decided since I was wrenching and bumper was off I'd paint my intake tube textured black. Was also re-doing my hids so will post pics of the cut off later tonight

Was able to make a bit of progress this weekend taking apart the K:
Got it up on the stand/Removed water pump housing ![]() Crank Bolt was not an issue thankfully ![]() Cover and chain off ![]() Cam Caps and cams removed ![]() Box O Parts: Will be posting the K20A2 Cams up for sale also ![]() And the head is off, arp studs exposed ![]() PPA Pistons that will be exiting the block ![]() Will continue to break the block down and hopefully get it to the machine shop soon. Also made a decision about the cams I'm going to run in this setup then pulled the trigger...... SVM will be my cam of choice, in the 312 variety! Will post pics once they arrive
