Phalanx's 2008 Spark Silver STI

Well, I just recently picked up this 08 STI from Planet Subaru out here in MA. Ive only got 2 pictures so far, but I had fun documenting my Si, and Im still friendly with many people over here, so I figured I would do the same with this one.

As the majority of you probably know, I previously owned a Silver 2008 Civic Si (I have a thing for silver cars) which was fairly heavily modified. YOu can find the build thread for that by Clicking here

The Si saw a TON of time at the drag strip but only made it into the high 13s (because of the driver.... not the car ). It also saw 1 auto-x event, which I plan on doing plenty of in the STI.

Some unfortunately things happened with my Si which made it hard to enjoy and at this time in my life, having a sporty coupe just is all that practical... so I felt it necessary to part out and get myself a 4dr car with AWD because its 'more grown-up' and 'responsible' (thats the story I told the wifey, at least) :giggles:

Im still working on the blueprint for this build, but I will be sure to update this thread as needed.

Anyways... heres my car:

Never Again!
Chris, your car is goooooorgeous. I am so happy for you. What a nice upgrade over the Si. Plus, you now have a car that has a good baseline to which you can really make some serious power. Congrats to you!

Even the OTS Stage 1 map made a considerable difference. Mostly in just smoothing out the powerband. Im gonna be fairly careful with it, though, because I have seen a few instances of people having issues when they start throwing moderate power increases at these. Just need to do my research, really.

Heres just a quick cell phone pic i took last night after installing my roof rack. I still need to find a local dealer with the proper sized fairing... but for now the rack is home to my 2 hockey sticks. I must look like a big tool driving around with those up there, but I think its hilarious.

Hockey sticks on a roof rack, that's a great idea! Every time people get in my car they complain about the 2-3 hockey sticks in the way...

Congrats for the new STi, it's a sweet car with a lot of potential.

Haha, yeah. The guys at the ski shop joked about it when I was installing it in the parking lot and I was like 'Thats not a bad idea!'.... turns out it IS a bad idea if you still have a wooden stick and it rains. Water-logged stick FTL. Of course now I have an excuse to go buy a new one

... its also not that great for the tape on the blade and butt-end
__________

Thanks all... I love the car so far, especially with the Cobb OTS Stage 1 map on it. I cant wait to go stage 2... but getting some of the aesthetics/suspension done will be first.

Yea, I guess weather would be an issue, one of these pre-shaped transport bags for hockey sticks could be a solution.

Shameless product plug here, I see in your first post you'll be looking for a short shifter soon, we'll be releasing our version of the STi short shifter for the 08+ model in the coming weeks. Let me know if you are interested and we'll hook you up!
