Stage II Skunk2 cams 08 MUGEN CIVIC SI Build Thread!!!

2008 Mugen Civic SI

Last Updated: 09/13/09

F.Y.I : I hit a pothole with the MUGEN GP rims so I have stockys on for now (I know it sucks), so please do not ask about why I don't have my mugen rims on!

Mods:

Injen CAI - $250
Vibrant Cat-less Race Header - $450
Skunk2 70mm cat-back exhaust - $530 (I sold it, now running mugen catback)
Mugen catback - Came with car.
Skunk2 Stage 2 Cams - $680
Skunk2 titanium retainers and dual valve springs - $400
RC 750cc injectors with adapters - $350
New OEM valve seals - $35 (Required since when removed, they are basically junk, you have to install new ones.)

Running with HONDATA FLASHPRO

$700 - for LABOR on removal of stock valvetrain and stock cams with the replacement of Dual valvesprings, retainers, and the camshafts.
$300 - for DYNO TUNING for 2 hours @ RS Motors.

TOTAL SPENT: $3700

Decent numbers. My full bolt on SI minus cams on a mustang was about 207. So you are deff making decent power.

EDIT: Would like to see a dyno sheet to look at the power curve

rori ( f*ck your form ) <3
why the prices? =P

not bad, but i feel you shouldnt have payed so much for the engine work. cam changes takes no more then an hour and the valvetrain and retainers cant be much longer.

I am thinking about getting stage 2 cam and new valve train...

Is it worth spending $1100 for parts THEN ADDITIONAL $700 for labor?

I did cams before there were any crate k24 packages available....if I were you, do the k24 package, cams are only worth it if you can do it yourself, i've learned the hard way.

Stock head +built k24 bottem end is > cammed head + stock k20 bottem.

if you had to choose.
