The '08 WRX sedan that could! My attempt for STi performance.

NEW PIC"S ON PAGE 5!
Well, I bought my '08 WRX January 4, 2009. I went to test drive an '09 WRX and I was impressed. The salesman proceeded to tell me they have one '08 WRX left on the lot. I told the salesman that he would have to basically give the car to me if he thinks I'm going to take it. After about 2hrs of going back and forth, I walked out with a 100,000 mile warranty and the car for $18,241. I figured that I would be replacing most of the things that make '09 WRX what it is anyway. So, I bought it.

So, My goal is to have an sedan that will keep up with and STi. I'm also doing my best to make this car not look so plain. It also handled like a Cadillac, but with the suspension mods it now handles great. I'm not going too crazy with this car's engine because she is my DD. Onto the mods.

Engine mods:
1. Perrin intake
2. COBB AccessPort
3. Perrin intake Stage 2 Map
4. Invidia catted DP
5. SPT cat back exhaust

Suspension:
1. H&R springs
2. Rallitek F/R sway bars
3. Rallitek HD F/R endlinks
4. Cusco front upper strut bar
5. H&R Camber bolts

Wheels:
1. Blitz BRW (Black blue matte) 18x8 +45 offset
2. Riken Raptor 235/40ZR18

Exterior:
1. Factory front lip
2. Factory fog lights
3. I painted the rear chrome piece on the trunk to match the car.
3. 50% tint front and 35% rear

Future mods:Not necessarily in this order
1. side skirts and rear spats.
2. VF52 turbo
3. Perrin or AVO TMIC
4. Brembo conversion
5. Protune
6. 750cc injectors (just incase I go with a bigger turbo)

Here she was stock.

The first mods I did were tint, the front lip, fog lights, and I painted the rear chrome piece.

Update!
I finally received my Invidia divorced bell mouth catted down pipe. My friend helped me install it yesterday. The turbo response is awesome now. I am using an PERRIN stage 2 map. It is truly amazing how much faster this car is now. Here are some pic's of the DP.
Here's the DP.

Here's what it looked like stock.

Who ever designed the stock DP should be shot. Look how much better the Invidia will flow.

Here it is installed!

Here's an engine bay shot.

HERE ARE THE VIDEOS

Thanks! I traded the Si in. As a matter of fact, The guy who bought my Si came to my house and left a note on the door asking for the spare key. I need to give him a call.

Didn't care for the 5-door, huh? I don't blame you, it's not for everybody, but the sedan reminds me so much of the Saturn L-Series.

Nice build so far. I've never heard of Riken Raptor tires.

:dancingcool smiley:very nice WRX Buddy. very very nice. I can get any parts you would like for your motor and suspension as well. Also I have the CAD design program behind me and I can design you a custom gauge cluster.
