amsfoto's FBP FA5 track build

Been meaning to get one of these threads up for awhile now, mods are slowly trickling in.

So, here is the current mod list:

Engine:
Ingalls ETD "Stiffy"
Ingalls Powerstick
P2R TB Spacer & 2 Gaskets
Fujita Polished SRI

Suspension:
Progress Rear Sway (22mm solid)

Interior:
Nav Spash Screen Hack
Corsport Short Shifter
Corsport Alloy Cable Bushings

Exterior:
Front plate relocate
35% Tint all around (except windshield)

My plans for the car are to make it a competitive track car for events in the area. (Summit Point, VIR)

I am still looking for the perfect suspension setup. I can't seem to find springs that I want. I need something with a very aggressive spring rate but not too much drop. I am thinking about giving HFP suspension a try for the time being.

My first exterior mod will be the HFP front lip, then a set of lightweight wheels and wide Falken RT615 tires.

NEW!!!!! Photos as of 8/5/08:

And some photos as of 7/28/08:

I am currently on vacation, but when I return I am planning on de-badging all of the Si goodies as well as the i-vtec sticker. Still thinking about it...keep going back and forth.

I really like your wheels, the black with the blue lip I am looking into maybe doing something similar. FBP ftw!

Not necessarily, there aren't many aftermarket shock options out for our cars yet...finding the perfect spring is step 1. I am either going to go a spring/adjustable shock setup or just go with coilovers.

Bump for new pics. Also...the USDM rear end is really growing on me versus the FD2 rear end. I think I am gonna keep it and just go with the JDM front end.

could save trouble of finding shocks and just buy coilovers that have been built for racing and tested on tracks.

There are rules and regulations for competing in certain classes. I know that in SCCA autocross you can't compete in stock classes with aftermarket springs, only shocks and sway bars.
