parts in vancouver question?
Hey, so I've had my nhbp civic sedan for a few months now and want to start modding.
Just one problem though.. it is so hard to find parts in vancouver that aren't way overpriced!! I got quoted a total of $2241.53 for the whole hfp kit + installation and taxes at richmond honda. Even I know that that is way too much. I checked the collegehillshonda site and liked their price but then I'd have to either have it delivered to somewhere in Washington and install it there or have it shipped here which would cut any savings. I also want the si grille and some eibach sportlines, which shouldn't be as hard to find in vancouver. Guess it's just frustrating that parts are much cheaper down there even when we are already at (plus or minus a few cents) par with the USD. Are there any reputable "underground" or blackmarket places I can get those parts?? Seriously though.. I just want to mod my car and find parts at a FAIR price. Any suggestions? |

it is a matter of networking, we all have hook ups for parts none are black market and I really hope there isnt a black market anytime as I do not need my car stripped for parts so someone else can buy them cheaper.
you can get a SI grill at a wrecker for 95 bucks, I think that will be the route I go as I don't have a credit card to order parts online. I will be having it custom painted to match my car minus the SI badge. |

i believe just photo id and a birth certificate is fine when crossing the border by car but by 2009 you will need a passport

I didnt even pay that much when I got my front and rear lip from my hook up here in Vancouver. It was't much more then what you posted but I did get it cheaper.
Install from honda is like .36 of an hour which is like 30 bucks. I paid 10 bucks at carter for them to install my front lip and paid the other honda 20 bucks to install the rear lip. |
