17" or 18" tires/rims?

What's the difference b/w 17" and 18"?

Besides the look-factor, is there any performance difference?

I'm thinking of getting summer tires (Good Year Eagle F1 GS-D3) on 17" rims. Worth it to pay $500+ to get on 18"?

Driving with 18" is a bit rough and you cannot speed on the road like kingsway. If you're looking for looks and performance, I'd say get 17" rims.

my 18's dont look as big as i thought they would...and i am slipping all over the place, mind you it is fairly gravelly out there still
