Cool Car Alarms

I'm sure this this has been discussed before. I did a forum search on car alarms and came up with tons of unrelated threads. I'm just looking for suggestions for a car alarm w/ or without starter.

Where did you have your alarm installed? What brand and model? How much did it cost you? I have manual trans. Some stores I spoke too don't even work on alarms for manual trans.

I got the Compustar slapped in my ride, I do have remote start but I also have an AT.

I forget what I paid for it, it was a while ago but it has helped keeping the stinkin junkies away.

I had my compustar with remote start installed on my Si (manual) by the dealer when I bought the car. Not sure of the exact price as it was lumped in with other dealer installed goodies (3M front, tint, anti-rust module). It works really well.

Compustar 2W900FM

There is a newer version of it now, however. Great remote. Great range, and none of the issues that the 2WSS had.
