I might give it a shot, if I can convince my honda dealer to cut the key for me for free. I had a VW Passat before my SI, and loved that flip key...

Waiting for my key to come in, should be by the end of this week.

If anyone has a hook up on key cutting let me know:)

Definitely interested in seeing this in action for the Civic. Damn keys jabs into my leg sometimes in my pocket when I sit down.

If this works, you'll be hearing from me again, NBPRudy. lol

I think the real trick will be replacing the acura symbol on the back of the folding key to a honda symbol - or even better - a SI symbol to match the car.
Any thoughts on that?

that one costs 32 right? Is there tax on that? :[.. but yeah..
I might do it.. I should call honda first and see how many legs they'll charge to program it and cut it.

That will be tricky. It's molded into the plastic so even if you do get it off you will see the symbol embossed in the plastic.

$28 plus $4 shipping + california tax. I don't think tax is charged for outside california.

I'm hoping for it to work since it works for the Accord.

There is one problem though I think that the imobilizer chip in the civic keys in on the actual board with the buttons and the accord and tl keys have it as a seaprate piece. So if you took out the board and tried to start the civic in would shutdown but with the accord the key would still work and your car would still run. Plus the imobilizer systems in the civic are totaly different than the accords.I might be full of it though.
