So if anyone has a hookup on getting the key cut, let me know, at least that's one step closer to saving a few bucks.

I think you need the mail man to knock on your bedroom window...isnt this the second package you missed due to sleeping?

Got my key today.
Took both new and old apart.
The old key has the immobilizer chip on the PCB. The new one does not.
Does not look as though this will work without just having the key programmed...
Oh well...

I'm not quite sure with the CSX alarm system but the one on the Honda Accord can hold up to 3 remotes.

SIDENOTE:

That's why people see me wake up late and stay online late, it's because I got laid off from my old job, but the good news is that I'm going back this Monday! I'm so excited, I can finally start saving up money for mods instead of doing little dinky things like the key mod =p

as i found out when i was trying to do the RDX key the accord and civic have different imobilizer systems and the immobilizers are programed the through HDS. The accord remote is programmed by a series of turning the ignition on and off and pushing buttons, the civic remote and immobilizer are both programed simultaneously through HDS.

My wife started lusting after the key when I showed it to her.
I think I might just have it cut and programmed for her car(06 TL). I am not exactly sure it will work for her car either though...

for her car you would have to sacrifice one of her keys for the chip and key blade itself, since im pretty sure that the 06 are standard keys and the 07s are sidewinder like our civics, but i am pretty sure that people have gotten it to work. check out this diy from club RSX
http://forums.clubrsx.com/showpost.p...&postcount=127

also another thing i learned in all my research, TL and accord keys are made by a company called Omron, our civic keys are made by Valeo. So chances are it will not work.
