Is labour flat across dealers?

Hi all! I'm new here although I've been reading this forum for sometime now, so nice meeting you all!

Just wondering, do all the dealers charge the same labour rate? I did my B12 maintenance today at Waterloo Honda and it turns out to be $313 w/ tax. They charged me 2 hours of labour at $91/hr. Is that about the same in GTA? Or is the rate about the same but some charges less hours? I was a little bit shocked by the price...

No. But they will probably all be around the same as each other in order to be competitive.

Maintenance at dealers is usually a crappy deal - a lot of times they just do visual inspections, clean stuff up, add a bit of lube and send you on your way with a much lighter wallet.
Best way is to learn how to do some of the stuff yourself, a friend who knows what he/she's doing or find a trustworthy mechanic to do it for you without charging you an arm and a leg.
