Civic Si (VS) PT Cruiser Turbo ?? HUH ?

Okay ... this sounds pretty stupid. But my brother bought a PT Cruiser Turbo .. same time I bought my Civic Si coupe. Since I got my car my brother has been cracking jokes saying that my car cant keep up. Now .. I have been trying to get him to come down to a track and line it up, but he wont. I cant find anything even comparing the two cars .. obviously were talking about a PT cruiser .. blah .. but .. this is the same engine pushing the same HP as the SRT4 .. mind you in a heavier body. I took his car for a drive and its quick .. off the line turbo lag is horrible but then it kicks in and it moves. So question is .. I feel that the Si will toast him .. however He thinks he will whipe the pavement with me. I cant get him to line it up ..soo just curious what everyone else's views are. Any previous experience's ?? seen any you tube vids .. cus I cant find any.

PT Turbo . 2.4 . 5 speed

lol. i dont even think that car is in the same class as the SI. ours compete against the gti, cobalt ss and the ms3 for example. and as much as you guys love the SI. i dont think it makes a great track car. our stock suspension is too soft and the biggest downfall is the stock brakes they are horrible for tracking. youd need better springs, better tires and i can only keep dreaming but an optional brembo package from the factory lol.

why doesnt ur bro wants to race at the track? If he talk shit but cant back it up then he's being a puss. The stats only tells half the story. Type of tires used, launch control, power:weight ratio, and drivers make up the other side of the story.

If u check the hp/torque on Corvette vs. NSX and it's 60mph & 1/4mile time, u'll know what im talkin about.

but I've lost 10 outta 10 times to a Grandprix GTP.. As long as it has enough torque to backup the weight... Super charger FTW!

You are aware that I still have access to all deleted posts, right? The only way that your post would have sounded more like street racing is if it would've been "I race on the highway, I race on the highway, I race on the highway, I race on the highway, I race on the highway, I race on the highway."

It's simple, no street racing posts. I don't know why you would even argue with it. The owner of the site doesn't want any street racing posts so just don't post them up. You wouldn't smoke in a non-smokers house, right? So why not respect this house?

If you'd like to discuss this then please feel free to utilize the pm system. Otherwise, No street racing posts.

Wonder how much it would cost to raise the torque and hp to 350hp? Also wonder what it would do the the drive train and engine over time.

It actually doesn't take much to get the turbo pt up that high, and they handle it very well. The pt turbo is essentially just an uglier neon srt4, same engine, tranny, turbo, etc.
