I Have A 06 Civic lx Built In the U.S.A.,I thought Honda Built Civics In ONT.
Canada.

No, the Honda Civic is built between two plants, one in Ohio, and one in Alliston.

Si's are built in Canada (I do believe so are the csx's ), some other trim levels too. The main civic birth place is Ohio.

J'ro could answer better, so could some of the other Honda employees if they are allowed to.

i had a LX made in ONTARIO.. now i have a SI too was made in ontario.. my brother checked up on it when on the line.

VIN starting with 2 = Made in Canada
VIN starting with J = Made in a good place

There are very few imported from JPN..but there a few lucky people.

In short:

Alliston, ON builds: 1) All 2 dr (Si & regular) 2) All 4 dr Si & about half regular 4 dr

East Liberty Ohio builds: 1) Regular 4 dr only (non-Si)

I cant see any of these cars here being built in Japan .. it doesnt make any sense. They dont even sell this car in Japan. The Japanese versions are totally different.

tC's are made in Japan, but not sold there., so i can believe that some of the early civic 06 models could have come from Japan.

Just carfax your vin and it will tell you were its from
o7 lx U.S.A and car runs perfect.

Really ?? Why the hell would they do that >>? Could it be that the first ones were built there then shipped over prior to them making them here, so they would be ready of 2006 ? I think it would be kinda wierd .. it would be like making the CSX in the States and only selling the car in Canada.

If this is true .. I want proof !! What about Si's ?? any made in Japan ?
