Where to buy gas?

Anyone know which gas station offers good reward programs?

I'm currently looking at the Sunoco Performance Points.

I fuel up with 91 Octane.

Suggestions and opinions are appreciated

Also, is it true that some gas stations give "bad" gas? I hear from people that Esso doesn't give good gas. What about Ultramar? They usually have good prices

I am getting my gas from Petro Canada and using the points for car washes in the winter. Not sure about Ultramar, because over here we don't have any of these stations.

I used to use Esso for the Aeroplan points but not so much anymore. I'm with Sunoco for the Performance points since Si's need premium fuel.

Well from what I've heard, the best gas quality comes from Sunoco. I heard this from my sisters friend who works for something to do with gas quality, it was rated from what I heard best to worse it; Sunoco, Shell, Petro Canada, and finishing near the bottom is Esso

I read some place that Shell premium had the no ethanol .That would mean it produces the most power and best gas mileage .

^ I had a bad experience years ago with Shell. Not sure if it was the station where I got the gas or the gas itself, but after filling up at one station my car ran like crap and the catalytic converter needed to be replaced.

Oh sh!t, that sucks. I'm sure that it was just the station you were at. I'd fuel up at Shell if they had some good reward programs. All they have here is AirMiles I believe.

Right now I`m getting 7.5L/100km on 91 a CT.During winter and break in I was getting about 8,5L/100km .But I usually drive 80% HWY.

I've been getting Shell exclusively for the last 6 months. Haven't really tried any other on my Si. But with my old Civic, I find I get the best mileage with Shell, but best "feel" with Sunoco.

What about car washes? I've already waxed and detailed my car all by myself. But what about those touchless car washes, especially the ones at Sunoco? Are those any good to use just for a quick shine?

I`m never happy with the quality of the no touch washes .They never get the back of the car clean.

Ok in my 6 years of driving, i have found shell to be the best in terms of millage, and i agree with the "sunoco feels smoother" but even tho its smoother I'm not getting the millage i do out of shell gas. I average 600 all city driving from Richmond Hill to finch station every day.

As for the touchless washes, great in the winter, but they ALWAYS, ALWAYS, ALWAYS leave a dirt film no matter which one you go to. Don't believe me? Dry your car with a white cloth and then you will.

Petro - Good enough for winter
Sunoco - Unless you are filling 94 theres nothing special about their gas
Esso - It is all about rewards
Shell - V-power is pretty good for a 91 octane

Thats my take on it...

and yes.. Shell did have a problem years ago.. I think back in 2001 or 2002.. then my injectors were clogged.. but they announced that on the newspaper a month later and took full responsibility for it.. and paid for a lot of damages..
Since then they made gas which apparently cleans your engine.. and now.. its just all about V-Power
I currently fill with Shell and loving it.. I use to use ultra 94 until the gas prices decided to go up like my blood pressure

Are they any bad for the car at all though? I mean, I'd just like to use them for a quick shine. No harm involved right? I'm using Sunoco and I am signed up for their performance points. I can redeem car washes with these points so I was just wondering if it's bad at all to use these touchless washes.

Also, does Ultramar provide good gas?
