Those were pretty much my choices but I had the GTI and STi listed instead of the M3. In the end, I decided having a new car was better than having someone else's sloppy seconds. If Lexus had dropped their prices when I got the Si, I think I would've been in an IS250 AWD.

At the end of the day the Si was the most fun, most econmical to drive ... basically the best value overall.

However I am still jonesing for a M3

Same goes for me .. with the IS250 .. Lexus was pretty expensive but now .. they dropped the price and for $30,000 a Lexus IS250 RWD is still pretty good.

Before buying the Civic sedan I was also looking at the CSX, Impreza Wagon (non WRX), Rabbit, Lancer, and the Accord sedan.

My previous car was an EK hatch, which I had had for 10 years. The only reason for getting a new one was the fact that now I have a baby girl so I needed something with an extra two doors.
