Oh gowd i love my job...

Ok so some of you remember that i quit my last job in search if bigger and better things. i had enough of the asshats wrking there, plus the last guy had it in for me fo i was sunk...

Well today i saw what my new boss was made of. over the last two weeks i guess he was testing me. leaving for hours at a time, calling in that he would be in later and not showing up for the day...

I used to work in heavy truck parts, at volvo... everything was a vin number away... now in in aftermarket... vin numbers mean nothing. and its a whole new world. From what i can tell hes somewhat impressed with my performance IE, having NP running the store and dispatching the drivers....

well today after the shift we had a BBQ and got drunk... we wasted a 40 of vodca and a 24 of becks, not my #1 choice but MEH.... i didnt pay for it... well i got the whole story. of whats what, who owns what...

and the prognosis is good... he feels compleatly at ease leaving everything to me cuz i can handle it... the wast guy was called "smutni" in polish that means sad guy, and the guy before that eas a pot head and before that was a theaf, and befpre that the guy was a drunk...

after the bottle was finished and the beers too i learned that this job, for the first time in 6 years im not being stabbed in the back and that im being aprciated...

thats why i love my first job. being able to wake up in the morning and wonder if yuor going to be called into the office to be foreed or not is a big relif... the last two jobe where 50/50..........

indeed getting recognized should be part of the work environment

i love my current job now and i'm getting appreciated for the short amount of time I've been there

no recognition = moral goes down from what I've experienced

I'm glad you like your job. I find it so important to be able to wake up in the morning and not mind going to work. I've been doing that for the past 8 years, and I have to say that I have never thought about switching jobs.

On a different note, at times it was painful to read your story. Not sure what's going on, but the spelling of the words gave me a headache after about the 2nd paragraph.

I think he wrote it while he was still drunk

Congrats btw. Nothing beats being appreciated and valued at your workplace where u spend most of ur day at. When your happy and like what you're doing, it doesnt even feel like going to work anymore lol. Glad u found a job where u can appreciate and enjoy as well as being respected and appreciated at the same time
