well it looks like a civic smells like a civic but hell no it doesn't drive like one...
i get a little annoyed when some girls say you drive a civic... cuz its totally not one!!! >=( i personally say its an Si!! does anyone else feel the same or am i just ignorant

Well .. ill be honest .. I dont really care .. but ..when I say I drive a Civic to some people they say oh .. like slow lawnmower civic .. and then I say ummm no like .. 200Hp rock your ride Si Civic. Civic is still a civic no matter what. But its the whole Mustang conversation !! You tell a girl you own a Mustang and right away they say .. wow .. thats amazing .. even if its a six ..and not the GT. They dont see the difference.. they just see Mustang sooo it must be fast !!

The only thing I hate .. is when I see a Civic coupe with Si rims Si wing .. I-Vtec on it and Si badges when I personally know it aint an Si .. that pisses me off for a couple of reasons ... I paid more for mine to get an Si .. why are you not proud of your version ? 1..and 2 depending on the guy driving it .. if he likes to race around like an idiot .. and he gets smoked all over the place by other cars .. it gives the Si a bad name. Thats just me .. but like I said a Civic is a Civic no matter what engine is in it !! So far ive seen alot of really nice non Si models with mods .. that look amazing !!

A civic is a civic.

I know some people with a Si rims, I-vtec SOHC sticker, and the Si spoiler. But I don't think they are posing to be an Si. Just as long as they don't have the Si emblems or IVTEC DOHC stickers on their R18, im fine. My own opinion of course.

it's just because people are stuck with the idea that Civics are slow. Just saying the word "civic" is kind of just unimpressive, because up until the 8th gens, they WERE slow. Then Honda decided to all of a sudden make it into a performance car, but the Civic name still holds the slow connotation. Just give it a few years...

and I totally agree with leeban about the Mustang thing. My old car was a '94 mustang, V6. Everyone would be SO impressed when I told them I drive a Mustang, and that would kinda piss me off cus it is such a sloowww car, that was with dual exhaust and a CAI too. A stock Mustang drives like a ******* minivan.
And now that I've got a Civic, everyone's just like "oh...it's a Civic." but **** 'em. It's just a DX-G (manual) but yet it's still 10 times more fun to drive than a mustang and uses almost half the gas.
I do miss the feel of rear-wheel drive though...but ah well.

I drive a Civic, I tell people I drive a Civic, it's better than trying to explain to people what an Si is. Who really cares about what people think about your ride, as long as VTEC still puts a grin on your face.

That's not the worst, trying to explain where I work is a always a challenge.
"What do you do?" I work at Company X.
"What do they do?" Semiconductors.
"Huh?" Kinda like Company Y.
"Ohhhhh, I still don't get it." Yeah, don't worry about it.

yea i personaly hate the whole mustang thing as well. my friend has a GT and even after i walked her ass she still trys 2 say her car is better. so then we took it to the twisty's yup raped her even worse, and she still says her car is better than myne. cuz its a v -8 and myne it just a little 4 banger. she gets her car dynoed. only makes 227 to the wheels and befor i can ever say oh whats that your engine is 2x as big but dosn't.... she has allready hung up on me! hasn't talked 2 me since. but its allright cuz that good looking girl can get in that mustang that she thinks is fast and then when i spank em she will have wished differently.

400$ car payment, 180$ for insurence, 35$ a tank of gas, look on mustang owners face when u scream past em when they think they are winning off the line.... priceless!

yeah dude...Mustang's are ridiculously slow for their size. but they do have a LOT of potential, you can build them up like crazy. More than any civic could ever do. It just requires a lot of money...

and all Mustang owners hate Civics, or any other import, for that matter, which is probably the only reason she keeps saying hers is better. I'm surprised (and glad) that I was able to cross over to the other side. Honda rules.
