They had helmets for loan if you forgot yours, very cool, it was a great and a well organized event, I felt safe in knowing my car was not going to get in any trouble.

You have to feel that way before letting loose knowing that if you F@#K up you cant make a claim.

Hands up to pass and only on the open straights.

I took this from the HADA board good advice..

As long as the helmet has a snell M2000 or better sticker and it's new it's safe enough. A new cheap helmet is much safer then a used expensive helmet with an unknown history.
If you payed $350 for a helmet I hope you got a quality Snell SA motorsports helmet (rated for multiple impacts and provides fire protection). Instead of waisting your money on an expensive Snell M series motorcycle helmet (unless you ride a motorcycle of course )

Open faced Snell M2005 helmets can be purchased for less then $100, but they may not be the most comfortable. You do get what you pay for afterall.
In fact I paid well under $200 including taxes for a Zamp brand full face (with a shield) Snell SA2005 motorsports helmet from Carl Wener at TRAC racing.
Zamp Racing - Auto - FSA-1
I find it almost as comfortable as my $350 Bell Snell SA2000 open faced helmet.

I.M.O. I would never buy a helmet online unless I knew exactly what I wanted, first go to a dealer and try many on.

Don't cheap out or get somthing that "kinda fits".

That's your mellon your messing with.

I'll ask around for a good place in the G.T.A. might even get myself a new one too as it's been a while. I heard that some guys replace their's every five years to keep up with any new developments.

I bought 8 of the FSA-1's from Carl for our race team, they're pretty good.

Thanks for posting the vids, that was a fun day!!!
