Type R Steering wheel spotted!

I was at OptionJDM today, and found the steering wheel (with the red Honda badge, and red stitching) from the Spoon Type R on the table!

Apparently it was sold to some guy for $650, which also includes the airbag.

I didn't get any pictures, but I damn want this..

Well, it came with the airbag, which costs a thousand from Honda anyways. Apparently the buyer bought it for insurance purposes (cheaper than getting it from Honda Canada).

It's too rich for me, but GXPX's emblem mod looks nothing as nice as the real thing.

yeah, i got the GFXP emblem for $15, free shipping. That's a saving of $635 lol. The GFXP emblem looks pretty good IMO. Save your $635 for a lip kit or suspension!

You make a good point if you really need the airbag. But IMO....JDM is what's in style now. I don't think a lot of people will notice the $650.00 steering wheel a few years from now. Just like nobody notices the bomex bodykits anymore . Just my .02

changing the airbag pretty much voids the warranty though - even if its a honda steering wheel - i tried to get a few dealers to do that for me to put the si or csx wheel in

Voids warranty for what??, it can void warranty, your replacing honda parts for honda parts. becides, honda doesnt void warranty. they just wont cover the replacement of that exact part. because how could they. If you got into a accident and the insurance needed to replace your airbag, you would get a amarican one not the JDM...

How much is the airbag alone?

If subtracting the airbag price from the steering wheel price makes the whole thing cheap enough I might get one. If I ever needed a new steering wheel airbag.

I almost bought one awhile ago untill I found out I won't be able to exchange some parts from my steering wheel to the JDM CTR steering wheel, example The Front and rear grey navi trim and voice reconigtion buttons. Then I thought Full oem Navigation in a canadian Si is just as cool as a JDM CTR steering wheel in a canadian Si. IMO i'd rather keep my full oem navi.

wow...didn't think there would be so much hating on this wheel...pics will come as soon as i get it to my car...as for nelsonr31, i'm not sure wher you got those pics from but minus the functional steering wheel controls that looks like the JDM wheel, but the real ones have non-functional buttons, they don't even push in...IMO this is easily one of the most beautiful JDM steering wheels ever made and for those of you who think that the Graffic expressions red honda emblem will compensate, then you have no idea what this wheel is like...as far as the warrenty goes...big deal, even if it is void for the wheel, i'll just get another one myself...now for those who believe that the JDM theme is a "fad" you might want to think again, factory jdm parts have always been around, people just kind of drew away from it into those *** body kits and stuff when fast and the furious came out, now that scene has died down, JDM is number one again...i don't think the JDM theme will die...thats just "my" 0.02

i don't think ppl are hating on this wheel. i can't speak for everybody, but for myself, i can't justify spending so much money on a steering wheel. i agree that it is a beauty, but i'd rather put that kind of money into other things. for rich folks, thats probably a different story. they got money to burn.

the wheel would be an awesome addition to have on your car. but for $650?? i think i would rather spend that on performance. but if i was super rich id go for it just because its authentic 100% JDM!
