I found this by doing a quick search... DIY

The cabin filter is behind the glove box, simply open the glove box, empty the contents, reach towards the back of the glove box, pull either side in slightly, and the glove box can now flip open.

Now the cabin filter , squeeze each side on the plastic holder, and it slides out, voila, simple , no tools... ... remove the filter, place the new filter in (match the airflow markers so they point the same way) , replace everything.

Done.

It does. BUT... the maintenance minder reminds you on your Fourth oil change to do it. It's the B 2 service if I am not mistaken.

Should check it whenever you can, depending on how dusty the area is you live in, Toronto, Newmarket, barrie, up by Collingwood, the beaches, the amount of dirt would differ.

Heh, thats why I read the manual. Sucks about the maintenance minder though... so late

Mine was had half the blackness of yours at 26k. I live and drive on the city's outskirts.. mostly highways so I think mine was pretty "clean" (compared to yours anyway )

my daughter is treated for leukemia, we replace the filter every month.

so for even more saving...

go to your favorite home center, buy the largest home filter you can find 20x25 or 20x30 (usually cheaper per square inch)

cut to size, I can usually get twelve filters for $14 or so

put in the cabin air filter tray.

I also put in a charcoal/carbon odors filter (also sold at home centers) in addition to the pleated paper filter.
