thanks!

does the 2-way alarm provide greater protection from your car being stolen or does the factory immobilizer do a good enough job?

my moms car got stolen recently so now i'm getting abit paranoid... lol

Got my car alarm done by Auto-Links over in Scarborough. I got the Compustar 2way pager alarm and love it. Had it for almost 2 years now and have had no issues at all. I have one of the older models though. I believe there are 2 newer models than the one I have. I know the owner so if you get in touch with Jon over @ Auto-Links make sure to tell him that Jonathan with the blue Si sent you and he'll give you a good price =)

i've got one. =)
imo compustar is the way to go~
2-way starter/alarm pager, 5000ft range.. awesome.
one of the newer models... if you want it, i can get it for around $300.. which is pretty good.

o snap LOl i forgot about this. i got my alarm at Audio Heaven - Security, Tints, Audio, and Video. dont really rmb the model cause i cant find the manual to it. and i would say my alarm is pretty decent for around $400. its a 2way pager but i did not get the startup or trunk option. i actually kinda wished that i got my alarm that notifies me when something is close by and it beeps, so i dont have to keep checking my car when im the mall or something to make sure nothing happened to it.

^ Give Jeff a call at audio heaven ... He was really helpful and seems to be very customer service oriented.

that alarm you have actually cost 299 or something...

the beeping thing is called proximity sensor

i have a viper alarm which i got for 399... it always seemed to work fine (tested to make sure all sensors work)... but one time i came back to my car to find a HUGE dent in the fender, yet my alarm never went off... i'm sure i was within range since where i parked i can normally get alerts from my proximity sensor

and i got my alarm done @ audio heaven too
