3M clear bra
Hey everyone, this is my first post. I'll be joining the civic nation on Feb. 15th when I pick up my 07 Civic EX. I was wondering if any of you know where I can go and get the clear bra protection for my hood. I've searched around and I can't seem to find any place that does it other than the stealer-ship :-)
Thanks in advance. |

There are a few places up in Newmarket too.
A lot of the body shops, tint palces can do it, shop around, you'll get a wide range of quotes. Canadian tire sells a can of it for $25 for DIYers (unless I got the price wrong) You're looking at $250 - $300 from when I was looking around for it. Good to do the day you get it (grins) dont' want any chips before you get your protection. |

You may also want to look for a shop that carries the Avery Dennison 'Stone Shield' clear bra. It is newere, thicker, more impact resistant, and does NOT yellow as the 3M product can do in some circumstances.

Thanks for the help guys... I'll call a few places, hopefully I'll find someone with a reasonable price. The stealership wanted in excess of $700. I called Jet Steam modile cleaning and the do it as well but it still costs around $599. Keep you posted.

I got a quote from a certified 3M installer for $250 for the hood and fenders, he said he'll include the mirrors in as well for free. The bumper however will cost around $350 because it takes a while to install. Anybody else interested in a possible group buy?

you shouldnt need to do the bumper.
your main concern should be the hood and the fenders since they are metal. if the paint chips off and metal oxidizes then its bad. however on non metal parts like the bumper and the side mirrors, shouldnt need to put protection on those.. just my thought. anyone correct me if i thought wrong :) |
