K20/K24 Frank Build: Cams Left

What I have put together so far:

12:5:1 Compression
CP Pistons
Carillo Rods
87.5mm Bore
Go Power Valve train
First gen HR Tensioner
70mm RBC

I need advice on what cams I should run on my setup, Some ideas:

Skunk 2 Stage 3 (most likely)
Kelford Stage 3
Crower Stage 3
Cartel Stage 3.2

Last Thing on the menu is what size TB. Note this swap is on my RSX so no drive by wire TBs

I have the same going in my DC5 as well. Except I have Wiseco pistons. I'm a big Toda fan boy, hence I will be running Toda Spec E. That being said, I've had success with Cartel's 4, 4.5, 2.2, Hytech I/II. For your setup, I would go with the Drag Cartel 4 or Hytech II. Jeremy @ Drag Cartel and John @ Hytech are very helpful.

On the throttle body front, I recommend the Hybrid Racing 70mm (that's the one I have) works very well.

Go ahead and scratch the Skunk2 stage 3 cams off your list. Plenty of horror stories because of the way those cams are designed. Kelford stage 3s are too big for your build. Cartel 3.2s would be nice, but you'll make better power with the cartel 4s I'd be willing to bet. Prayoonto 3s will give you good results from what I hear as well. Get the largest TB you can port match to your IM

I'm running the Skunk2's made really good power. I've been seeing alot if people talk about the new cartel 3.2's but not a lot of Dyno's unfortunately. Regardless I'm sure they make power.

anyway... curious to see what you go with as my build is almost identical... haven't seen any dynos of the 3.2 but seems promising.

Yeah they seem like a nice mild K24 cam. But with the 12.5:1 comp I would think he could take advantage of some 4's....

I trust him too, just need to make sure your specs match the cam profile to optimize the cam.

4's would be good but I'd love to see the power band on 3.2's.

stage 4 is usually built for drag racing where the engine is usually ran above 5000rpm

All stages aren't the same. The Cartel 4s work great on the street.
