- Eagle rods - Wiseco Pistons 12:1 Cr - Acl Bearings Shoot me advice on boring it over... if so what CR should i run on the piston. Thanks for all the help |

Nobody has any experience with this ? I'm sure 1 out of the billion users here has built a k24 up lol . I just need to no is it going to be worth boring it out rather than just honing the cylinders at normal bore size. Hope someone can help me out on there opinions !

It's too early man. Lol It's 1:30am here in hawaii so it's what.....7:30 in Ohio? (i'm originally from Ohio) There have been a lot of people doing K24 builds. I'd suggest looking through some of the other posts in the All motor section.

If I may make a suggestion? Change to cp pistons 12.5:1 and Carrillo sa-pro rods. While both of these are more expensive than your current choices, it is worth it and you shouldn't put a price on a good engine build. As for bore you shouldnt go past 87.5 mm without sleeving. I hope this helps, btw this what my build is

Your going to be atleast 12:5:1 comp with a very aggressive cam. Either a ported RBC or Skunk2 manifold. Bigger TB and a 3.5 air intake. A good flowing exhaust. You are gonna have your work cut out for you. Not many have hit the 300 hp mark on a K20/K24 build. You can PM OldSchoolFA5 and see what he did for internals. He hit 309hp/223tq on 93 octane. It can be done.

Man i totally told u guys wrong. it was 12.5:1 on my pistons. My bad. Yes it can very well be done. I have supertech internals ( dual springs, retainers, seats ) Skunk2 stage 2 cams. Im prolly going to do some valve work while my head is off or something like a port and polish.

OK so i decided to go up and get the motor today. The block looks great. I was asking what do i need to hit the 300 mark. Basically he said something along these lines. RRC Manifold, Port match the TB, Mild Head work, Stage3 cams, and then of course building the block up. Plz add in whatever u can to this. Im not sure if i want all motor or build it for spray.

Also throw on the k20a2 oil pump. Go with a larger tb than stock like that j35 or skunk2. A header with a 3" collector and a 3" exhaust and you'd be pretty close. Engine hp would be 300. Oh and obviously flashpro to tune.
