IPS k2 MkII camshafts:Knowledge needed
So these are the cams I have decided to run and after many graphs and say from people runing these cams, I must have.
I am aware that for reliability and because of necessity that new: Dual Valve springs Titanium retainers Keepers Dual Valve spring seats Valve stem seals "Hybrid Racing" chain tensioner and have read over and over again that I can run either Supertech dual valve springs SPR-H1022D with 80 lbs of seat pressure or Eibach 20411 springs with82lbs of seat presure. My questions are from who should I aquire the last pieces of the puzzle? Should I finish up with Supertech Keepers. Seats, Retainers or Eibach Retainers, Keepers, and Seats? Those who are running IPS K2 MkII please chime in Thanks 8thcivic |

where are you ordering your supertech valvetrain from? I can't find it online.
btw, to answer your questions..nitrousg35 researched this topic heavily and sent me this note: Thiis is what Nikos recommended getting: springs part # SPR-H1021D Retainers part# RET-K20A2/T3 Valve Lock part # KPR-5.5/7A Seats Locator part# SEAT-H1020DS |

i had the iron cores on my last setup on my old civic. i never got around to tuning them on the dyno but it felt just as fast if not faster as when i had the skunk2 stage 2's in there. i had them for roughly a month before parting out the car.
as far as the spring/retainer combo, i was running the 92 psi supertech dual valvesprings and the titanium retainers. you're somewhat local so if you have any questions or need help with the installation/tune let me know. |

oh, and you'll def need bigger injectors...if you wanna go cheap, get the rdx ones...if you got more loot, get the gopower 525cc (its 5 hundred something). If you plan on modding more in the future get the fic 775s or the id 725s (don't get 1000 or above, too big for non-fi dd). |

The guy who posted is correct. There is no standard matching retainer for the eibach.. Even though it looks like it will fit, it is not a perfect fit and will cause your retainers to break. A custom retainer has to be made for the eibach.
The supertech combo should work fine. springs part # SPR-H1021D Retainers part# RET-K20A2/T3 Valve Lock part # KPR-5.5/7A Seats Locator part# SEAT-H1020DS try to see if you can find these parts |

Yes, T2 will do for a stock head. I gave you the t3 because I usually get parts for built motors so when using a ported head, sometimes the geometry of the seats and valves change. But for a stock head t2 is the way to go. Good luck

Also, is a chain tensioner really necessary from the get go or could I pass on it for a while untill more funds come in?

also regarding the spring rates springs part # SPR-H1021D are 95 "seat" and 253 "open" while i found the SPR-H1020D for a real good price and are at 100 "seat" and 268 "open" is that a big difference keeping everything else the same? I know that this will cause a little more stress on the cams and valvetrain but is it ok?
