Change California Tint Law

Saw this while browsing online for tints. CHANGE CALIFORNIA TINT LAW Petition : [ powered by iPetitions.com ]. I don’t see any harm in signing and it might actually benefit us. Just letting you guys know out here at 8th gen that someone is trying to do something bout this. I know for a fact that a lot of you guys have gotten tickets for your tints. I’m planning on getting 35 all over so I might be next

So its time that we to do something bout it. After you sign up it will ask you for a donation but you don’t have to do it. I think it’s for the website itself and not the petitioner. Thanks guys.

Nice find...put my signature down. I wanted to get 20% tint all around, and even considered doing 35% front and 20% back....but i am a daily driver and don't want to get hassled by cops. Why does CA have to be so strict on tint...it sucks!

So did you ever get your car tinted? I'm going to do it this weekend and I would really like to hear some input. I'm planning on doing a 40 in front and I’m not sure what to get for the back. My only options are 30 and 15 (the film I'm getting does not have 20). Would 40 and 15 look awkward coz of big jump in shade? Is it better to just go with 40 and 30 to make it look more natural? My only concern with 30 is that it might not be worth it for the back coz it’s too light. I really don't know what to do. I really need some help. I'm paying a lot for the tints coz I’m getting the axcess llumar which is the top of the line and will not mess up your navigation and radio reception.

No I haven't got my car tinted. I was going to end up getting 50% front and 20% back. For sure I want my back part to be dark. And since I'm daily driver, but still want tint in my fronts cuz it get so hot while driving, I think 50% will have to do. I think this setup will be good since there is a good amount difference in shade from the fronts and backs...so hopefully cops won't bother me.

So if anything, it really depends on what you want and don't want....dark tint all around and risk getting pulled-over all the time, or go with a light set-up in front and dark set-up in back, and be a little more at ease while driving. The laws aren't going to change anytime soon...so we're just going to have to deal with it.

BTW: This month's "Ride of The Month" has tint set-up of 50% front and 35% back. I think it looks alright...and I can be happy with this shade difference...but 20% back for me though.
