minor in possession

first of all, this is only a thread for people in california who have gotten a minor in possession, and what their consequences were for the misdemeanor. I got one last night in my friends car. He was pulled over because he made a dumb mistake in front of a cop. He blew a .000 because none of us were drinking but there was a 40 in the car. He got a ticket for knowingly transporting alcohol and i got one for a minor in possession (25662 A)
If any of you have been through this, and could tell me what to expect/do i'd greatly appreciate.

And please, i don't wanna hear "wow you shouldnt have done that" don't you think i know that already?

Thanks guys.

i had to go to a substance abuse program for six months... took away my drivers license for 3 and had to get tested regularly. haha either that or pay a fine if i remember correctly. i chose to go to the program cuz it was cheaper than paying the fine. lol but the program i went to was chill; we would just watch bootleg movies and watch videos about people with their different "drug" addictions and whatnot.

haha i pleaded guilty or "no contest". in court, it's gonna be mixed with minors who posessed bud and/or alcohol, so it doesn't look that bad compared to the kids who posessed weed. we were just chillin in a parking lot and the cops basically saw me with an open 40 in my hand so it was burnt as ****. the cop could've charged us with a lot more stuff, like minor in posession of cigarettes, public intoxication, and curfew but he was pretty chill. damn we were stupid... i was 17 at the time.

i went to court on thursday, waited for two hours. My name got called, i went in front of the judge expecting to get leveled with the long d*ck of the law, instead they offered me a 40$ alcohol edu. class at a nearby community college in order to dismiss the charges!!! whoohoo!!!

THE way we play the who get DAT charge down here is if no One wants to man up and take it we write Em all for it. Makes it simple when they go to court the judge makes the final decision anyway.

is the car under your name or the kids name?

because if you were strickly moving the car i dont see how they would charge you for anything.
