Possession ticket

Hey, whats up? A few weeks ago I got a ticket for possession of under an ounce of marijuana from a Riverside County Sheriff. Today I went to my local court to get fingerprinted and take care of the ticket, which I had always been told is just a $100 fine and not really a big deal. Anyways, after I got fingerprinted, I went to the court clerk, and they told me that I could not pay that fine, and that I would have to see the judge on my court date. Anyone know why? Is there some reason why I can't just pay the fine and move on like the dozen or so of my friends who have gone through this did?

you have to go to court and make a plead and then pay a fine. Ive done this twice before. marijuana will never be legal becuase they make so much more money making it illegal. i dont know about cali but in nevada the fines came to like $700+ and all i had was a gram each time. $700 for a gram i didnt even get to smoke, some cop got to smoke it.

Yeah I've heard they're real strict on that in Nevada. In CA it's supposed to be only a $100 fine, but i've got this strange feeling they're gonna try and screw me somehow.

But you're saying it's normal to have to go to court and make a plea? I just have to tell em I plead guilty or whatever then, right?

in Toronto, it's decriminalized...meaning, it's really to the discretion of the cop...
In one instance, when I was younger, I had a j, and popo asked if he can have some...but he was a young cop. I would assume, older cops wouldn't be as cool about it.

In Denver Colorado you are legally allowed to carry up to an ounce of marijuana without penalization

The slammer isn't a fun place to be.

But I was caught with a bong, 2 ounces and a butterfly knife.. Got a citation for the knife.

If u get caught in arizona with any amount of weed or a pipe. They put u in the slammer.

where'd you get this one from? any sources?

i know its legal if you have a medicinal reason for it and a doctors note to back it up.

same as in california.
