advice for future si owner?

Hey guys, I am getting my 08 civic SI coupe (no nav, no tires, etc. just stock from factory) in white tomorrow for $22,500 OTD. I live in the LA county 8.25%. And i was wondering if this is a good price? I am putting $10,000 down with APR of 5.9% for 60 months (20yrs old, first time buyer with limit credit history/income but over 700 score). I shopped everywhere and no one comes close. I am willing to buy it for that price, but also want the dealer to throw in some options like wheelocks, cargo tray, etc for free too. Is that possible? How would you guys negotiate this? This is my first time buying a new car, so should i beware of any gap insurance (what is it...), or anything like that when I sign the papers? Thank you very much!

Its possible to get it down to 20K. But you have to have a way with your words to get it down to that.

and with you putting 10K down as a down payment (thats a lot) I know that there are some honda dealerships that are negotiable to get it down to 20K but you would have to tell them that you are willing to put 10k down and bla bla bla

really? 20k? no way. my best is 20,500 plus tax and license = 22,500 OTD. i called/went to like 30 dealerships and all of them dont wanna even talk to me after showing the quote. they say they dont care how much i down cuz they get the same no matter wat. and according to all the honda dealers, SI is a HOT car, it will sell for high. i duno if thats true or bs

my dealer took off quite a bit on mine. the car is going on its 3rd model year now. i wouldnt consider it "hot" any more. its hot but only within a certain age demographic. dont believe dealer lies. anyone can be talked down.

my TW Si stickered at 21,685 with a 5,000 markup. total asking price almost 27k

i paid 22,500 OTD with full HFP kit, fogs, and security system(which to this day im still not quite sure what it does). install included

dont believe dealer lies? dude i work here. one of my close friends is the internet manager. there is no premium on the SI here but they are hard to get. we dont even have one and ROCK doesnt have any anymore. so if you ask me they are hot when i was a salesman old people were always trying to pick up Si's! before the new body accord came out thats wha everyone wanted was the Si.

wow.looks like a lot of dealers are selling their Si's sticker price now.

I had a friend last year that did a lot of research about owning a new Si
and I wasnt really listening to him but he said something about looking
through kellyblue book or something like that and persuaded the dealership
to get the new Si (no nav,no options) to 20k.

IDK how he did it.But I'll ask when I get the chance.
