Cali Cops Are Stupid.....

this was posted on another car forum. this dude lives in Norcal and he's Mexican. im sure racism was related.pigs never cease to amaze me.. here is wat he wrote.

so iam driving back from lunch to work, cop going opposite way flips a U and chases me down like iam violating 100000 Laws. Pulls me over infront of a winery where i park next to 2 cars. COp PARKS BEHIND ME (i obviously cant drive nowhere, not that i would). Dude tells me my GT blue HIDs are illegal. OK so i get the point, blah blah blah. he asks me if i had anything under hood. Tells me to open it. 2 minutes later another COP rushes in...iam sitting there like wtf (this is in ST HELENA by the way). So he gets out. they ask me for my keys and to turn off my car cuz they fear I MIGHT drive off...iam sitting there Yeah, let me just FLY out of here while iam boxed in .

he says its security issues.


ive worked in town for over 2 yrs now, had even BLUER lights before the gts and never. i live in NAPA and NEVER been pulled over for lights or exhaust or nada...


so the two cops start telling me how my AEM SRI is illegal. how my breather is illegal, how my dc headers are illegal, how my Apexi ground stabilizer is illegal, how my STRUT BAR is illegal . then hes all like "you have an answer for everything cuz it seems like you dont keep quiet" iam like ooook.. then he says "my buddy here can give u a 1500$ ticket, then u can explain to the judge how LEGAL all these parts are." iam sitting there like...wtf, if everything is illegal give me the damn ticket and leave...they continued to harass me telling me how they went to all these auto violation classes and how they know more then me and this and that. i was being RESPECTFUL and calm and everything. no need for them to act the way they did. ohhh and by the way as of may 10th 2008 3:45pm TEIN S techs are illegal, cuz they said so.2.4inches is waaaay too low. iam surprised they didnt say my rims were illegal. he TOLD ME the breather burnt air. iam like WTF> he asked me if my CF hood was a layed out vinyl.....he also asked me if i had warrants and he ONLY took my license. didnt even take car registration or NOTHING.


am i in a position where i can do anything?.

i didnt get NO ticket. NO fix it NO nothing.

the cop also told me how the aem sri was illegal because it doesnt have a tube for the hose coming from the engine. and how they are all universal. i nicely replied and said "sir, the intake is made specificly for this model type and year" then one of them told me to put the silencer on my exhaust cuz he couldnt see it. just cuz it comes with one doesnt mean it HAS to have it on.

I hate how cops act like total dicks

are any of these parts ILLEGAL? .i understand about the GT blues ..but everthing else?. come on..

Um.... so they informed him of the law.... gave him no ticket.... and cops are stupid?

I love it when people get pulled over FOR SOMETHING THAT IS ILLEGAL and then complain about it. Stop being such a little baby. If you dont want trouble, dont break the law, simple as that.

If you think that race never plays a role in being pulled over, let me tell you that I once got pulled over by the cops. They asked for my license, nothing else, and asked if I was Jesus Vargas. Bs and I said no I'm not. So the guy takes my license and hands it to his partner who goes to the car and comes out right away telling his partner, "it's not him." they said the previous owner had a warrant on the car. So after I went to the sheriff department and asked about that hoping to get it cleared up if there was anything. They said there was nothing on the record. DMV said the same.

Just face it, some people throw out the race card anytime something happens to them. Thats the way it is. Im not saying it is never a matter of race, but the story above, that has nothing to do with race. Jack-ass had illegal stuff on his car and got pulled over. He got away with no ticket, and hes mad?!?!

And as for your story, have you thought, maybe, they we actually checking to see if you were Jesus Vargas? Thats why they checked your ID, they probably had a picture of Jesus Vargas, the previous owner, already pulled up on their in car computer, verified you werent him, and sent you on your merry way. Get of your high horse. Did you get a ticket for anything? Where is the problem. People are so quick to complain when officers do their job.

I was at home one night, and I got a knock on my door, I open it to find two cops, they ask if I am ..... someone I have never heard of, I tell them I have no idea who that is, they ask for ID, I comply, one cop goes back to his car, they ask how long I have lived there, I tell them. They ask one more time if I know who this guy is, I say no. They give me back my ID and leave.

Did that have something to do with race? NO! They thought someone was living here, that they were looking for.
The more you look for something to appear racist, the more you will find it, simply because it is what you are looking for.

Its not the HIDs them selves, it was the color.

Um, no. They said they ran my plates and something came up. Sheriff's Department said there wasn't/never was anything about a Jesus Vargas. I asked the guy who sold it to me (my soccer coach and family friend) and the name he gave me was not Jesus Vargas.

I call BS. You can't just call the DMV or Sherrifs Dept. and get a list of previous owners of a car. That is covered under the Privacy Policy Act. The same reason you cant just call the DMV and get an address of a car with a VIN or license plate number. It is private information that they wouldnt give out.

I didn't say I got that info from sheriff's or DMV... I got that info from my coach and friend who sold me the car. The only thing I got from the DMV is confirmation that there was nothing to fix with my plates or my car's records.
